艺术家琳达·邦德从不同的角度讲述了战争的暴力

UNION, N.J. – An artistic testament to recent history and those affected by conflict, Linda Bond's 后遗症: Beyond the Shadow of War, is on exhibit at 肯恩大学's Human Rights Institute Gallery, located at 莫里斯大道1000号 in Union, through December 20. 邦德的特色作品集完成于十多年前，从不同的角度讲述了战争的暴力。

One of the focal points of Bond's exhibition, 一对一 is a special project in collaboration with Afghan women that highlights the importance of 爱游戏体育cating women worldwide––especially in conflict areas––as a means of stabilizing and empowering communities. Currently installed in 爱游戏体育’s Human Rights Institute Gallery, the four house-like structures of 一对一 are filled and draped with embroidered bags, letters and drawings from the artists' Afghan partners. 装置中还包括编织纱布绷带、关于世界各地妇女斗争的报纸文章碎片，以及粉笔覆盖的石板上的视频投影。 另一个被笼罩的蓝色建筑，由数百盏小灯照亮，象征着女性尚未开发的潜力。

"后遗症 embodies the Human Rights Institute at 肯恩大学's longstanding efforts to promote the awareness of human rights issues and violations across the globe, and reminds us that we each have an obligation to teach, to learn and most importantly, to act in the face of injustice," Tetkowski said.
